Terms of Use

These terms govern use of the Balanzo app and website, provided by Balanzo.

1. Purpose of the app

Balanzo helps users record, organize and understand personal financial information. The app provides budgeting tools, receipt capture, calculators, tax planning and optional AI explanations.

2. No professional advice

Balanzo is not a bank, lender, investment adviser, insurance broker or tax adviser. Results are estimates for informational and educational purposes. Verify important decisions with a qualified professional and official sources.

3. User responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of your inputs, reviewing receipt results and securing your device. Automatically read receipts and calculated values must be reviewed before use.

4. Local vault

The current Balanzo vault is a local device profile. It is not a server identity or cloud backup service. Losing or resetting the device may result in loss of local data.

5. Online AI

Online AI is optional and may be used only after consent. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect. Exact amounts are intended to come from Balanzo calculators, but you must still review inputs and results.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, bypass security, overload it through automation, transmit unlawful content or attempt to obtain another user’s data.

7. Availability

We may change, maintain or discontinue features. We work to provide reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions based solely on app estimates or AI output. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

9. Ending use and deletion

You can delete your local vault and associated local data at any time in app Settings. More information is available on the Delete data page.

10. Applicable law

German law applies unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
